Sign in with a passkey or an emailed code
You can now sign in with a passkey, or with a six-digit code sent to your email instead of a password.

Email me a code instead
You no longer need to remember a password to get into Kyrune. Sign in with a passkey, or ask for a six-digit code by email.
What changed
- Passkeys. On the sign-in page, choose Sign in with a passkey and use Face ID, Touch ID, your fingerprint or your screen lock. If you have passkeys saved for the site, your browser can also offer them from the email field.
- Emailed code. Under the password field, choose Email me a code instead. We send a six-digit code to your address. Enter it and you are in.
How the code works
- A code works once and expires after ten minutes.
- You have five tries. After five wrong guesses, the code is cancelled and you can ask for a new one.
- Once you type the sixth digit, the page sends the code for you.
- The email puts the digits first in the subject line, so your phone can often suggest them above the keyboard.
Adding and removing passkeys
After you sign in with a password or a code, Kyrune offers to create a passkey once, with a prompt that reads Sign in faster next time. Choose Not now and it will not keep asking.
You can manage passkeys any time on your account page. The Passkeys group lists each one with the date it was added and when it was last used. Use Add a passkey to make another one, or Remove to delete one.
Good to know
- A passkey belongs to the site where you created it, so kyrune.com and kyrune.red each need their own.
- Removing a passkey stops it signing in. Your device may keep its own copy until you delete it there.
- Asking for a code never reveals whether an address has an account.
